An Tasty and No-Frills Approach to a Perfect Salmon Appetizer

Here's an easy, healthy appetizer idea that's perfect for all your festive hosting needs, courtesy of our friends at Secret Spice Remedy. Feel free to play with the amounts, depending on how many people you're serving.

Secret Spice Rubbed Wild Salmon Canapes

Ingredients

  • 2 (6-ounce) salmon portions
  • 1 teaspoon Secret Spice Remedy
  • 2-3 tablespoons goat cheese
  • 1 tablespoon caper
  • ½ red onion, very thinly sliced
  • Pumpernickel toasts, for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Meanwhile, pat dry salmon fillets then rub with Secret Spice Remedy.

2. Roast for 8 to 10 minutes, depending on thickness of fillets, or until just tender enough to flake easily.

3. Let cool slightly, flake with a fork.

4. Serve on Pumpernickel toasts with goat cheese, capers and onions.
